Weekend Lab Work

How many of your Water and/or Wastewater labs are staffed on weekends? Our new WWTP NPDES requirements have changed from 2 analysis/week to 1 analysis/month.  We are trying to justify no longer working weekends.  Please let me know how the schedules work at your Water/Wastewater Labs.

    Thanks

We do not work weekends at either of our labs, unless there is an emergency. For BODs that are read-out over the weekend, the plant operators do it. Good luck! :)

We stopped weekend work too, unless there are special circumstances.

We do fecal coliform tests every two months and are required to be in for at least one of the Saturdays to read-out those. Other than that we only work a Saturday if we are doing extra testing for BOD, which we happen to be doing this month as well. We are not regularly "staffed" in the lab on the weekends though.

We schedule all bacteria samples on Monday-Thursday so that no one has to come in on Saturdays to read them.  Unless there is a special request sample (construction or main break), no one works weekends.
